2011 Australian Wine Showcase Magazine Awards
The Australian Wine Showcase Magazine has three specific editions for UK/Europe, US and Asia. Sinclair has 6 wines featured and all 6 rated very well. The top scoring wines are: 2009 Sinclair Shiraz Ricardo - 93/100; 2010 Sinclair Rose of Glenoran - 91; 2010 Sinclair Sauvignon Blanc Swallow Hill - 91.
2010 Winewise Championship and GOLD AWARD
The 2005 Sinclair Cabernet Sauvignon Giovanni won a GOLD medal at the 2009 National Cool Climate Wine Show, was invited to enter the 2010 Winewise Championship and won another GOLD..."An elegant style of cabernet in which the fine tannins harmonise well with the clearly defined varietal fruit. This is a very true-to-region wine. Excellent Value."
2010 awards - 2009 Cabernet Merlot Jezebel - 2 silver medals and 2009 Cabernet Shiraz Jeremy Simon - 2 silver medals. Full details of the awards will be posted in late October.
2010 - New Release Sinclair 2009 Reds
Good news! The 2009 Sinclair Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Shiraz and Shiraz have now been released. These are big full bodied wines that are an excellent accompaniment to BBQ'd steaks and other lusty meat and vegetable dishes. Regretfully the Unwooded Chardonnay Nikstar and the Chardonnay Lady Claire are both sold out.
2009 National Cool Climate Wine Show Awards
The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Giovanni won a GOLD medal at the 2009 National Cool Climate Wine Show.
At the same show the 2005 Cabernet Merlot Jezebel was awarded a silver medal and the 2006 Cabernet Shiraz Jeremy a bronze.
2008 Two GOLD medals for the 2005 Cabernet Merlot
The 2005 Cabernet Merlot Jezebel is enjoying lots of success. This wine has picked up gold medals at the 2008 Cowra Wine Show and The National Cool Climate Wine Show. It has also been awarded 94 points in James Halliday's 2009 Australian Wine Companion. The wine is in very short supply and is generally not available in retail outlets.
Sinclair's 2006 Awards
2005 Cabernet Shiraz Jeremy won gold and was the highest pointed wine in its class at the Sheraton Perth WA Wine Awards and at the National Cool Climate Wine Show. Jeremy also won a silver medal at the 2006 Australian Small Winemakers Show.
2005 Shiraz Ricardo scored a gold at 2006 The Australian Small Winemakers Show.
Sinclair 2005 Rose of Glenoran won the 2006 Sydney International Wine Competition Perpetual Trophy for the "Best Still Rose Wine of Competition". Check out the other awards and reviews on the WINES page.
