2005 Cabernet Merlot Jezebel RESERVE

The Jezebel is not named for a real person or place! The name personifies the wine...seductive, a beautiful body and good to hang onto. The grapes were harvested from two sites on the steep red gravel slopes of the Sinclair vineyard in the cool climate Manjimup region.

The 'painted lady' is in a new guise with this vintage. The wine is more refined but still lusciously full flavoured blend with great persistence of flavour. The blend is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon with a generous dollop of Merlot (24%) to provide the feminine softness. Jezebel is highly awarded and has great reviews.

Despite its modest alcohol it has all the weight and flesh one could wish for; seductive cassis and blackcurrant fruit runs the full length of the pallet; fine tannins and oak. Great value. Rating 94/100 To 2020
