The 'painted lady' is a luscious full flavoured blend that is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with a generous dollop of Merlot to provide warmth and feminine softness. The nose on this wine is lifted and dense with blackberry undertones. The palate has complex black fruit with a touch of savoury spice and cedar. The grapes for this wine came from 100% Shiraz vines grown in the Margaret River region. Note: You may be lucky enough to find a few of these in shops at the pre-museum price. This Cabernet has a rich full palate of sweet berry fruits, cassis and integrated vanillin oak. This elegant wine has a great deal of backbone and is very much the classic Cabernet Sauvignon.
